Janet Jepkosgei

Janeth Jepkosgei was born in 13 of Dec 1983 in Kabirir sang near Kapsabet.

On 24 March 2006, she won the women's 800 metres event at the 2006 Commonwealth Games with a time of 1 minute, 57.88 seconds. She managed to beat veteran runner Maria Mutola of Mozambique.

In 2002, Jepkosgei won the women's 800 metres at the World Junior Championships in Kingston, Jamaica.

In 2006 Janeth wins the 800m during the IAAF Grand Prix meeting at London’s Crystal Palace. Jepkosgei the event’s world leader won in 1:58.54. Again in 2006 she wins African championship in 2:00.64.
